Anyone know how to stop polyester from clinging ... just making a top and I think I could export the excess to the national grid!

If you buy tumble dryer sheet you can rub it all over with one of those.
Or rub it on the radiator!

Make a weak solution of fabric conditioner and water and spray the fabric
very
lightly with it.

Rinsing in a weak solution of white vinegar works for me. And no tumble drying!

Well I've finished the top... I've rubbed it on the radiator... sprayed with fabric conditioner solution so we'll see, don't think I'll wear it though I'm not a fan of slippery poly fabrics..it was meant to be a wearable toile.
