Exactly how did you do that shell stitch ???
did you cut round afterwards of does the stitch make the shape?
where were you placing the needle ? at the very edge at the start ??
I need to know as I need to finish the 'orrible Japanese Drape Drape (Not!) Dolls top!
It's a stitch on my machine - it's a 4(?) stitches forward and one zig zag, and repeat. Make sure the one zig zag goes just off the edge of the fabric. I just turned the edge under about 3/8" and off I went. If your turn under is too wide, just trim off any excess material after stitching. You can stitch on the reverse so you can see how much hem you're turning. Fast and dirty finish!!
