Grain chain stitch machine - looking for copy of instructions

LeilaMay

I've been doing some bartering between friends, and am now the happy owner of a lovely Grain chain stitch machine, in green. Very like this one:

But I don't have any instructions - does anyone have instructions that they could copy for me? Or a source for them?

many thanks

Can't help you with a manual, but chain stitchers are usually reasonably straight forward, and if you place the spool of thread aim for the thread guide, then the tensioner, then towards the needle (looking for possible thread guides along the way) you will figure it out. It looks similar to a Singer No 20 and older German toy machines, but I'm not sure of the origin.

Sewalot has a page on a similar machine.

I have instructions for an 'Essex' chain stitcher  :vintage: I would gladly copy for you if that would be of any help?   8)
