Anyone familiar with 'King' machines?

About to inspect a pretty (i'm told) King brand machine at a local charity shop.
Apart from the USA bit, I have no idea if they are collected or if I could get any spare parts for it here in UK.

If you know do please share, otherwise I expect it will go up in the shop as just a pretty thing for someone to put out on display  :)

See you later

This is all I have found online about King machines, other links end up giving me the same info
http://needlebar.org/main/makers/usa/histories/king/index.html

So, nice machine  :)
Same style as a Singer 48  http://www.singersewinginfo.co.uk/48/

But with super condition decals in a King of Swords playing card design. Still had shuttle and three bobbins, and a King branded case. Very nice indeed but I have no room for it. Hopefully may go to the local sewing shop owner who has a display area of vintage machines.

Sorry, I've never heard of them.  If it doesn't cost an arm and leg it would be worth getting.

Oh it's not for me - I go along and look at the machines, see if all the bits are there, if it's likely to work, roughly how much it might be worth, that kind of thing.
It was very nice, but I am in a "one in - one out" situation here, so something would have to be amazing for me to buy it for myself and let something go  :)
