Low, my first attempt at piecing a quilt top (still in the cupboard unquilted) was a jelly roll sampler quilt by the Lintott ladies. I found that there were too many middling tones in the JR to get the right contrast for all the blocks.

I found that too, Ploshy, I supplemented with some home cut strips. Why are Jelly Rolls so midtonecentric??

My extra fabric , thread and needle package has arrived from Cotton Patch. I always think their service is slllooow ( I'm used to Amazon Prime speed ) but I only ordered on Saturday, so not too bad
