Looking for this fabric
« on: August 06, 2017, 19:20:28 PM »
I have been looking for some fabric like this, a cream basket weave in a wool/viscose mix. Found it last week at Croft Mill, but too late - only half a metre left.
Can't upload the image from their website because it's probably their copyright, but if anyone thinks they know something like it, it is under Wool Fabrics, called Basket Case.
If you have come across some, please PM me.  Thank you, kind helpful people

Thanks Brenda, I was following the Imgr route but they said don't use pictures with some one else's copyright, and I wondered if the photo was owned by Croft Mill, so I didn't go on with it - though they probably won't mind at all. They're very helpful but when I phoned, they said there won't be any more there. sigh.

It will be copyrighted to someone, probaby Croft Mill.  But, once a photo has been placed on the internet it has effectively been put into the public domain.

I copied it here and credited it here as being from the Croft Mill website, I'm not making any claims that it's my photo.  I would argue that using just one or two photos from a website in this way is the equivalent of copying a few pages of a book for review purposes.

You could try this Ebay shop:

iana-fabrics

It's the kind of thing they often have. I have had some really nice fabric from them.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on them.  Meanwhile, I'm  hoping that someone out fabric shopping stumbles over something very similar.  So many of us shopping, it's bound to happen - eventually.

Thank you Greybird, they did and I have!  Hurrah!  So the stash gets (temporarily) larger.
(It's the look I wanted, but a burn test tells me this is not wool, in case anyone else is interested).
