Gorgeous colours.
So bright I feel the need to pre wash, just in case.

Oooh - lovely!  I'm wearing a Doughty's batik as I type!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

The roadshows I've been to were mostly patchwork fabrics, but they are organised by a P&Q group.  They do have quite a lot of batiks, and other cottons suitable for summer dresses, and the prices are very reasonable.

If you know you want something in particular and ask in advance they will take it to a roadshow for you.

I've never been to their roadshows or shops, ordered mine online. But, they are in Hereford and the teenager works in Hereford - might be time to offer him a lift to work one day  |O :fabric: :fabric:

It's a nice shop, in a lovely little courtyard with a cafe (in the courtyard rather than attached to the shop!)  Their haberdashery shop is just around the corner and has really good stock too, although not as exciting as fabric of course.

Last time I was there they hardly had any batik  :o , but it's the only time that's happened, and I'm sure they will have rectified the situation!

I have some canvas-weight batik from there which is lovely, but I haven't found a pattern worthy of it yet.

it looks remarkably similar to my purchase   I certainly bought about 5 of those .. and similar colours although no yellow this time as I want to make a more jewel colour quilt... I have secreted my new Batiks amongst my old ones so nobody notices them..  ;)
