Well I was trying to catch up with the BOM's but if you put the next clue out early at least I won't be frustrated when it comes out while we're on holiday.

Im, I'm a little confused...(well yes, I spend a great deal of my time being a little confused about lots of things, I admit it  :|) but in clue number 6 you ask for (from clue 2)  a 4 patch of fabric 1 and 5 but in your picture it looks  like 1 and 2?  Am I correct? Lord, it's 11.30pm here and I did start my work shift at 6.30 this morning so I may not be "firing on all cylinders" so can you confirm for me?
Also, and please correct me if I'm all mucked up but I think in your clue 5 instructions you say to use fabrics 1&2, but in your pics have you used your fabrics 1&5?
Once again, I could be muddled..it's now after midnight but....help??

Bit of a relief really, my clue 5 was awfully pink!!! I'll just have to unpick the few I've done and replace them with the correct colour and all should look a lot better. Phew!  0_0

But Im, I don't have any 1 and 2's left to use for clue 6. In clue 2 I had to make 16 of them (wall hanging) and they were all used in the previous clue (clue 5)...needed 16 to make 8 of them. I've gone back and checked how many I should make for a wall hanging and I've made the right number.

Shouldn't clue 5 be colours 1 and 5, not 1 and 2? I'm confused now.  :S

I've just had a look at the clues and destructions and clue 1 shows imi's colour range. The deeper blue is colour 5,
so clue 5 should be colours 1 and 5, clue 6 should be 1 and 2. (I think) Looks like you will have to do a bit of unpicking as well, RW.

Sorry to chuck another spanner in but for the wallhanging size I needed 16 x 4 patches to make up the 8 units for clue 5 and the only colour combo that there was 16 of was fabrics 1&2

Panic Not!

I am very sorry about the cock up with Clue 6 and very thankful for the eagle eyed amongst us who noticed so quickly.
We now know that the Colourway of 4 patches needed for CLUE SIX are 1 and 2 .... and 2 and 5.

Have you something in the same colour / tone as the missing fabric ???

Use that instead and mix match your blocks through out the others when you come to assemble the quilt.

The 4 patches are very much used to extend the different sizes of quilt so are open to a lil interpretation ....

Annnd B R E A T H .....  Something magical may come of this.

Sorry, I'm not breathing yet!!  I am confused.com!

I made 30 some Clue 5's out of background fabric 1 and 4patches of fabrics 1 and 2.

Now you are saying there should have also been some 4patches of 2 and 5???

What am I  missing??!!

Panic Not!

I am very sorry about the cock up with Clue 5 and very thankful for the eagle eyed amongst us who noticed so quickly.
We now know that the Colourway of 4 patches needed for CLUE FIVE are 1 and 2 .... and 2 and 5.
.

Don't you mean the colourway for Clue 6? That's where we use the 2 different colorways? Clue 5 only used one colourway didn't it?

Ok, you meant Clue Six for the two colourways.

But that still means I need to unpick 30 some clue fives.

note to self:  if you ever do a mystery quilt again, go for the small one.

I'm still confused but I'm just going to go with the flow.

Have things gone off piste at clue 2?
I've checked my 4 patches against clue 2 and I got them correct
16 x fabrics 1 and 2
12 x fabrics 2 and 5
4 x  fabrics 1 and 5

So clue 5 had to use fabrics 1 and 2 because it is the only colourway with enough four patches to complete clue 5
I'll use the other 2 combos for clue 6 and see what happens - it all adds to the mystery  :)
