They do have shows round the country.

Besides at least they do come to Scotland - K&S have withdrawn.

I  didn't mean that in a bad way ... just I am probably unable to visit ... I'm interested in the competition aspect tho'

You don't have to go to the show to enter, I entered the machine embroidery comp a couple of years ago and won. They post your prize onto you if you are unable to collect from a show.

Here we are, I copied royalty free postcards and then used paint to smarten them up a bit before digitising and sewing. The theme that year was A Glimpse of Summer.

The individual postcards/shells/seagulls were stitched on my embroidery machine and then i painted a canvas and stuck some free machine embroidery waves/sand on before attaching the postcards with a simple stab stitch.
