Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

0_0  Dolly wasn't paying attention in the class teaching a lady out to get out of a car gracefully.

The only photo of me I have is the one I use for other forum(s) - as you can see, it's been cropped from a group photo, which is the only way I'll have my photo taken - I hate it.

I'm having a good laugh at the jokes here. But in among the funny pictures there are some lovely looking people!
I am now going to be looking out for Madame Cholet in Abakhan.  Up to now I've only seen Uncle Bulgaria in the Preston branch. Ravingdoll, that's exactly how I pictured you though surely the car should be a BMW!
As for me, well I'm a similar shape to the bear in my profile pic but my ears aren't in the same place and my nose isn't black. Other than that the resemblance is uncanny.

It might take some time - before I can find a picture that looks a bit like I feel, but I am happy to put one on here. It's lovely putting faces to names!

My avatar is my mugshot - just that the photo was taken a year or so ago ;)  Dad's caption in the photo album tells you the exact date.

A copy of the photo did hang on the wall of the town hall for several years :o  and I was quite disappointed when I was told some years later that the little boy behind me was a cardboard cut-out.
Brenda.  My machines are: Caroline a Singer 201K-3 born 1940, Thirza a Featherweight 221K born 1949, Azilia a Singer 201K born 1957 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

Is that a half bottle of whisky in your hand, Brenda?

I see what you mean about the cut out  boy - an early attempt at photoshop.  :D
