Given that I have so many scarves I'll probably get more wear out of a top. I've washed most of the silk pieces (although not that special panel  :S ) and they do wash well so that's always useful.  I've acquired some amazing pieces of silk from the Adamley silk sales over the years so even if I never see the same panel again something else will turn up.

I must get a bend on. There are only a few days left!  :'(

I have to speed up too.  The top is done, need a picture - and a photographer, not necessarily in that order. The cardigan/jacket is cut out, but have not decided if it should be cut down to a V neck.  Probably should be, to echo the top. It may not be  bright and sparkly but I need this outfit.  The family are taking us to the wilds of Scotland  and I have instructions to take one thing 'smart' to eat out in.  Since it is Scotland in the winter, and the rest of the time is boots and trousers, I'm hoping this will be smart enough.  Also, if I get lost in the snow, the red should show up for the helicopters, right?

I have the front and back put together now and here are closeups of the main fabrics. Still got collar, sleeves and facings to do, not forgetting buttons and buttonholes.  :S

Top wearable, but will take it in more after we come back.  Overall, I like it, will be good for jeans too.  I didn't put buttons on the neck because they'd only get lost in the pattern.
Started on the jacket, it has to be the vee neck so cut it back.  It sticks on the jersey,so will have to have a lining.  Maybe tomorrow, if nothing else happens. Also, the skirt

Thanks for giving me the nudge to get it started.  I faced down my phobia of jersey.  I just wish I had time to do something for the glitz competition. Last year I made a lovely dress for a family party.  A copper dupion and purple lace, which is much nicer than it sounds. Needless to say, I didn't get that done in time either.  If only the Sewalong had been running then!

I had to give up sewing when we had a second lot of unexpected visitors.  I have though, cut out linings and facings and have a cunning plan....

I guess if you're the only one who's emailed your pics, you could be the winner.   0_0

I also guess it's too late for me to send mine...  :(  :(

Is it Fran overseeing this one??

Oh dear I hope I wasn't the only one as it wouldn't be a competition then! I've finished my buttonholes since the pics. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to make my top as I probably wouldn't have got it done otherwise. So my 'prize' was definitely  to get it finished. Yes Fran was looking after this one but I haven't seen here on TSP for a few days. She was really busy with helping her grandparents move so maybe that's why she hasn't been about.
