Has anyone tried making these before?  https://www.sewessential.co.uk/misses-overalls-kwik-sew-sewing-pattern-3897

I live in jeans and sweatshirts/tees or jumpers, and thought these might be a nice make  :) especially if I could find some purple denim  :D

Do you think they are beginner friendly?  Pattern Review has favourable reviews, but I am a nervous novice   :D  :D

I've been living in sweatshirts and pants (jeans), too, ever since I retired. I think that's why trying to rejuvenate my enthusiasm to sew has been quite trying.

I don't think that would be difficult to sew. Only thing that occurs to me is that it's pants and a top together so you'd need to check the crotch length before finalising the top.

I was looking at this pattern to wear with leggings or tights but I am big busted and not sure if it would suit. You might like it, too. ;)

Do shop bought jeans and trousers fit you fairly well? If so, these overalls should be fine. If not then I would start by making a basic trouser pattern, then when you have worked out the alterations needed, move onto overalls. They don't look very close fitting so they shouldn't be too hard.
A day without sewing is a day wasted.

Shouldn't be too difficult, especially if they are as loose fitting as they look.

I used this for a top, not quite purple, but fabulous. https://www.fabricland.co.uk/product/denim-fabric-shot-cerise-indigo/
It is a bit stiff, but hopefully more washing will help!

Thank you everyone for your help  :flower: Some gorgeous fabrics to look at, such lovely colours :)

Sewbee, I hadn't thought of a dress but that is a lovely pattern - and worn with leggings, I could ride my bike without frightening the horses  :o  :ninja: :D
