I started my "Star in space" in 2015, but today I finished with the label :D

It's sewn after a tutorial of MSQC called "binding tool star", but I enlarged it a bit.

Machine sewn, machine quilted, 160x210cm.

Hi, that is beautiful. It really looks like a star ( or a snowflake) floating in space. It is almost 3 dimensional somehow and stunning colours too.

That's beautiful, Sakar.  So striking.

Please could you post a picture of your avatar so that I can have a closer look?

Thanks for your nice comments  :* On Thursday it was finished and today it's already a gift for my mother-in-law  :)

@pearl: Its size is about 140x140cm, and it's made from our very nice group of "Star block swappers" in 2016.

That is just stunning Sakar and the background fabric is just perfect.  I have serious quilt envy now.  Your mother in law is a lucky lady

Thanks, Sakar.  I remember the star block swap but I didn't post much in those days.  I really like the 3D effect and thought I might be able to do something similar with the BOM blocks (if I ever have more than two).

Oh my god, you make me a little embarrassed
Jenny offered a very good tutorial, I just did, what she suggested and modiefied it a bit.

But thanks  everybody :*

PS: Yes, my MIL had nearly a heart attack, when she arrived at home (after 4 weeks of hospital) and found the quilt on her bed .... <3
