Absolutely gorgeous, Iminei.  I just might have to try a gradation one of these days.   Very inspiring, are you ladies!

Pink and black indeed Imi! Picture hopefully attached :-) Although it's just the quilt top, it is languishing in a drawer waiting to be quilted!

It was in Popular Patchwork Lantana. It was an article where an editor had chosen her favourite quilts from the traditional category and mine was one of them :-D I couldn't believe it! I was just flicking through the magazine after dinner and suddenly there it was, a lovely surprise!

I saw Quilty's quilt at the NEC too, stunning. I went on a Quilty Hunt to find it specially. First I've heard about blocking a quilt, yes I associate blocking with knitting although I don't do that either.  :|

What a special thing to happen ... I can imagine how you felt! I don't buy a magazine regularly any more but occassionally treat myself ....just been to check the pile by my bed and sadly that wasn't one of them.  Keep up the good work  <3

Iminei that's also a stunning quilt! I love it!  :)

Okay Im going for it!!!!!

Im going to enter The Opus as 'My First Quilt'

https://goo.gl/photos/FeqW2vRaRxzVp9e39

although completed last year, 3 years after I started my journey through The Dark Arts, it was the first quilt I had pieced using the arrowhead block I had learned from Anita Grossman Soloman on Craftsy

I am going to enter 'The Undulating Terror' in the Two Person Quilt category

https://goo.gl/photos/S6XMHTxQoxEzqa53A

I had this professionally quilted as I wanted the bubble design which was way beyond my capabilities and it was way beyond The Splurges Harps capabilities.
Do I need to ask or inform the longarmer ???

Now Girls I need to ask you which of the following you think I should enter and in which  category; Contemporary or  traditional???

The monster that is 'The HSTathon'

'Stellarious'

'Honeycomb Dreams'

Its a pity 'A Good Year for the Roses' is not yet complete...I think I over stepped the mark with that one...with the butterflies.

So over to you .....

Wow they are fabulous, my own thoughts would be either HST or Stellarious  probably in Traditional as they are traditional patterns but hey ho who am I to know. glad you've plucked up the courage to have a go.

They are ALL gorgeous Im.

So other than the two you are going to enter anyway (good choice) My favourites are the first and last ie 'Good Year for the Roses' and the HSTathon.

Good luck!
