Can anyone recommend a site that sells nice stable t shirting fabric? I have looked in local shops but the fabrics all seem to be too stretchy or flimsy.
It's not easy being this perfekt

I bookmarked http://www.girlcharlee.co.uk/site some time ago but I haven't used it myself - the last time I bought knit fabric was at the K&S Show @ Ally Pally, but the site specialises in knit fabrics so may be worth a browse.

I have used https://www.online-fabrics.co.uk/Jersey-Fabric in the past and they are good about sending decent sized samples (although they may make a small charge).  Good service anyway.

No suggestions as to where to buy from, but Craftsy explains the different jersey fabrics as does USA based It's Always Autumn

It's the spandex/lycra content which makes fabrics stretchy.  100% cotton jersey (or 100% polyester jersey) will have mechanical give, but not stretch which immediately springs back when tension is released.

If you want plain t shirt fabrics have a look at Vend Fabrics or Pennine Outdoors (sorry, can't do proper links on kindle)

If you're looking for patterned I had some good quality from My Fabrics

Tia Knight has a good range, and Regency Rags and the Textile Centre both have some excellent quality fabrics.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

I got some nice ones from Fabworks sale recently, but even full price, they seem very reasonable.
myfabrics.co.uk will send up to five free samples, but I find them a bit pricey.
