One step forward....   I laid out my king size quilt blocks and it just didn't feel right.  There was just too much black, my background colour, in it for me.  So after pondering it for awhile I tried the full size layout and I like it much better.  So that's my new direction.   I think it might be a Christmas present for a niece.    This is something like what it'll look like...

Interesting, Iminei, I do like what you've done with yours.  I might play around with mine a bit more before sewing any seams.  I might make it rectangular rather than square.  Good thing I took the photo, I was just looking at it again and I noticed  I've got a couple of blocks on the edge going the wrong way.  Why is it that it's so obvious and glaring once you spot it?!

It's been a bit of a love/hate relationship but the top is together now and I'm really happy with it!  It's smaller than the king size I originally planned, measuring in at 64 x 80.   And I've got lots of blocks left to make some cushions!
