Can anyone suggest somewhere to buy coloured Guipure lace to make a formal dress? Helping a friend source something pale blue......

TIA

Guipure lace is very popular in the Nigerian community and the shops that sell waxed fabrics also carry it.  If you are near an area with a significant immigrant community, I would head there to see and feel the quality before opting for online.

I purchased some guipure lace online last year. I was happy with the quality for the price I paid but despite washing two or three times  it had a strange chemical smell which I could not get rid of. It was also short a few inches. This is the lace I purchased.

Maybe the smell would disappear over time but I put it away and haven't used it yet. If you are spending a lot it is good to be able to see it first but there was not much on offer when I looked in the retail shops.
