I really should stop looking at patterns
Has anyone tried this
http://chalkandnotch.com/shop/womens-waterfall-raglan/#reviews
? I am thinking it would be a beautiful Christmas dress in velvet? Beyond my abilities but something to aim for

I think it would depend on the shape of the wearer. On large-busted people it would hang from the bust line and look big and tent-like, which is why I wouldn't wear it. It looks good on the slimmer ladies in the photos. The one larger model has belted it in at the waist,
not a good look!

I think it can work, but I don't care for the 'crazy art teacher' colour and styling.

I think the overall look is ugly. The dress sewn in a different combination of colours and without the orange accessories, is fine.

The other one I like is 'cankles'
ie calves that blend into ankles with no visible difference...I suppose if unlucky, you might have fugly cankles too.
