I loaded my avatar from the photot library on my iPad. The photo is sideways. How do I fix that?

You'd need to use some sort of photo editing software to turn it to the correct orientation before uploading. Try Pixlr Express (http://pixlr.com/express/) which is in-browser.

Thank you for your quick response. However it does not speak to the issues. My photo is in the correct orientation in my photo library.
This is the only site where my properly oriented photo come out sideways.
Please help!

iPads and other devices will often be able to tell whether or not a photo has been taken sideways and turn them right way round for you on the device in your camera roll/gallery. But the photos themselves are not truly orientated the right way, it's simply the viewing software doing so.

Our site has absolutely no capability to turn photos sideways so I can only say that it needs to be reorientated. Our software simply can't do that.
