Dull, grey and miserable here, again, I do wish the weather would do something more exciting. Not too exciting, though.

I don't plan. I get bored and go and do something else!
I'm just using my diary to write what I'm doing. I'd love to see what you're all up to!

I don't see "like" in the Members' Diaries threads. I thought it was left out bemuse it would go into melt down with everyone liking the posts.

Unexpected shopping trip with DD and discovered a new yarn shop I knew nothing about. Is in (long) walking distance. This could be expensive!

Little bit of blue sky here!
May get round to doing a bit of embroidery with the green thread I bought yesterday. Did you know green thread comes with 3 pieces of fabric?  :P

In the wardrobe / Re: Designs/styles to suit an apple shape

Speaking as someone who turns into an apple when I put on weight. I found that the best shapes for tops was reaching to the top of the thigh, but then I was left with a vast amount of fabric shouting look at me, I found that using prints helped with this.
Also look at the Ottobre Magazines for ideas as the put their designs on real people.

Morning all!  :)
Another dull day! Can hardly see my keyboard.
Going to try and do some wardrobe planning today - don't know why I never stick to my plans.
I need to nip out for some green thread and a loaf of bread.

Shame on you DF, lol
I was going to suggest something similar, along the lines of 7 easy pieces.

Compare what happens here, 2018 plans to the way SG is handling things at the moment. I don't think I'll be allowed back there, one of my posts was completely misconstrued and got locked  :S

Patterns Discussion / Re: What is a Pattern?
« on: January 07, 2018, 22:31:02 PM »
I kind of follow the instructions, but change the design around a bit: View A with the sleeves from View B. I make up the pattern in order, but execute them in parallel, working on the front, back and sleeves at the same time. Less trips to and from the machine. I have my own techniques for some things, such as zips.
