If you scroll down their Facebook page a bit you'll see the new designs - and very tasty they are too. You should be able to order them via telesaes (though they are always very busy). I see that katsfabrics on ebay has some of the designs though at a higher price

I'm with you on that one, UR. I don't like strong perfumes and I seem to have got more sensitive to them as I've got older.

Oh dear, RD. How embarrassing!! My mother in law once sent a card with a saucy printed message to one of the family for a birthday. I can't remember what the sentiment was exactly but I think it may have involved blowing which she must have assumed meant candles..... You can imagine the horrified laughter. It seemed kindest not to say anything!  :D

My goodness, this takes me back. Power cuts - not a happy memory!

Standfast & Barracks in Lancaster used to print Liberty tana lawn and many of us drank from the font of fabulous fabric at their factory shop or katsfabrics on ebay.

We were inconsolable when they stopped printing Liberty (although luckily we had had the foresight to stock up on all the Liberty tana lawn we would ever need and then some).

I've just checked their facebook page and I see they are now stocking their own brand of Classic Lawn at £6.99. Some nice designs and looks comparable to Liberty. Goodie. An excuse to swerve off the M6 at J34 on next trip oop north. DH will be pleased!

Well, get yourself some nice fabric, Sewbee, and that's your Christmas project sorted! Or, wait and see if Mandors has a sale and make it in January.

That's a nice pattern  Sewbee, and it looks quite straightforward. I'm reasonably tall and errrr 'chunky' and I'd happily wear this.  :D

'... I'd have ended up looking at fabric...'  And what's wrong with that?? (Assumes innocent expression  )
I know what you mean about town centres dying on their feet and department stores not being what they used to be. When I was a kid in Edinburgh it was full of fabulous department stores - Jenners, Patrick Thompsons, Goldbergs etc. and they all had haberdasheries and nice cafes.Jenners is still there and it was once the oldest independent department store in the world - independent no more of course.  Even John Lewis isn't doing as well as they once did. Sigh.

I'd love to see a photo of you all in those jumpers! For  Christmas I've bought DD a jumper with a guinea pig and rabbit on sporting sequin antlers. I've kept the receipt!  :D

For all of you having not such good days I hope things have improved for you a bit by now. I spent 5 1/2 hours on commuting on my journey across t'Pennines today. I'm home now but I'm still cold. I spent my time tweeting East Midlands trains. It didn't make the trains run on time but it did make me feel a little bit better.

We got most of the geraniums in but one or two are taking 'pot' luck. We plant annuals as bedding over the summer, Polly. They aren't hardy and aren't expected to last the winter.
