Many of you will have seen the announcement. The American site Something Delightful which has Vogue, Butterick etc is merging into the Simplicity.com.website and all the brands will be there in one place. They are doing 1000 pdfs of existing and OOP patterns for Butterick and McCalls - let's hope they do A0 versions of their patterns  - and keep the pattern sales. Announcement was by email and Instagram.

Oh deary me - not much to get the pulse racing. Very few actual named designer patterns - just Julio Cesar and Sandra Betzina. Not even a Marcy Tilton. I'd maybe make the Sandra Betzina top but that's it. And there's a totally ridiculous trouser suit pattern with no shoulders that actually made me laugh! No wonder I'm looking at indie patterns more and more. There used to be loads of Vogue patterns I liked. This is very dull and very late. Last year the spring patterns came out in January.

Noticed that these patterns are half price just now. It's just the fall Vogue release and doesn't say how long for.

I've always found them to be very good - very quick - and very reasonable even at full price. Be quick - ends in a couple of days.

I think there are some good patterns here. I love that they are releasing some vintage Laura Ashley patterns and I'll certainly want to snag the pattern with the blouse and pinafore. There's a very flouncy skirt pattern which someone on pattern review described as 'death by gathers'    I can see several patterns I like so to my mind this is a much better release than the last Butterick and Vogue releases.  Very late for summer and no digital versions as far as I can see though.

This looks to me to be the most boring Vogue release in a long time. I always find the winter or autumn Vogues better but there is little to tempt me here. Few designer or designer knock off patterns. I seem to be finding indie companies more interesting nowadays. Lots in Fibremood and I've recently discovered Marilla Walker a UK designer. Vogue, you need to raise your game!

I found this on  Mettler's Instagram feed. The code does work. I almost bought a pattern I have already but realised in time. I'm quite well stocked up with Fibremood patterns as I have a few pdfs and I get the magazine. The virtue of their pdfs is that they are in layers so you only print off the size(s) you want. I have been really impressed with Fibremood patterns. Good patterns, plenty of support and instructions.
