@Renegade Sewist That's a what thought  :) Yes, you are right, it's a very satisfying feeling to take a picture of the finished top .

@Iminei  >< THERESA has her big longarm machine for some years (and is still trying to make her business).
But yes, you are right, PETRA has a longarm now too, but quite new, she got it in July. So it's her first one  ;)

She told me to send you her best wishes!
 She also helps me with the "Oakshott Cubes"  :)

Thanks everybody 😘

Thanks @Iminei for posting the pic :* But I have to admit that this is just the finished quilt-top, not the entire quilt.

A good friend of mine just got a new longarm-machine this summer and she will make the longarm-quilting for me. :D

I am so glad too that this is done now.  As Iminei said, I took me a while to complete it, and the crucial point was that a very very very nice friend of mine reminded me with a recent fatquarter-suprise to catch up with this wonderfull hobby again  0_0 :*

A floor cushion is a good idea indeed  :)

Generally the idea is copied from Marci Baker and her books. But I refused to buy it  so I simplified the virus and made a pattern myself m (but so far, is just in German  :\)

It's beautiful - but deserves a better name!  :) :loveit:
Yes and no, it is inspired by and made to show such a Corona Virus....

It's about 90cm high and 75cm wide.

Sewing Machines / Re: Pfaff QE4 2 Scissors not cutting ....

In my mind it was the right thing to ask her wether she knew the problem or not. Don't feel guilty!!! You bought a machine "ready to sew" and in this condition is should have arrived!!

I hope the rest works fine, because it's a very lovely machine  :loveit:

I have a pfaff QE 4.2 and I know this problem very well!!! :headbang: in my case it's always the same problem that the screw, which fastens the blade, get loose very easily. My suggestion: take s little screwdriver and fasten the screw of the blade.

I hope that helps and solves the problem.

I am not patient enough for hand-sewing, I sew everything with my machine (even buttons )

Thanks, @BrendaP :)

I wanted a small top, because I wanted to compare two cities, that's why I am just sitting at the sewing table right now to finish the 2nd town ;-)
The hexagons have a diameter of 5,2cm.

The hexagon template is 3/4 inches, the entire block... I don't know, I have to iron it first

Yes

I know, it may be better, but is "just" a sewing/quilting machine and not made for embroidery  ;)

For me it's fine, I just wanted to have an overview, when the months has started  :)

Now I just have to continue with the 2nd city ....  :P
