Frequently! Indeed I often take several attempts to get a project started in the first place.

I'm just about to embark on my first king size quilt, and I am going to take it up to Bramble Patch in Northamptonshire for layering and quilting. There's no way I can do it myself! I'm in awe of people who can.

I have a needlepoint panel that has been finished for ahem some time, would it be eligible if I turn it into a cushion? Or would it count as stash and I put it in the May/June comp?

I've knitted a sweater in Drops Air alpaca and wool, the pattern is Drops Cream wafer.

It's very comfortable, but I think the sleeves are a bit short. I think I'll undo the cuffs and knit another 2inch and redo the cuffs.

I've finished my sweater just some ends to sew in, then will take a pic.

Coverstitchers-  when they are good they are very very good and when they are bad they are horrid.
Sorry for the flippancy, I had a Janome one and I didn't like it's inconsistent results.

So this year I bought a Brother CV3550. On woven fabrics it is superb, but is very picky about jersey. Unfortunately jersey is practically the only thing I use it for, hemming T shirts! I have come to the conclusion that washaway stabiliser under the fabric is the only way for good results on thinner jersey. Even so I have to test each time, if it decides to eat the fabric that means time spent taking the foot off and poking about to get it out.

I would take some fabric along to try out. They are nice machines but harder to learn than overlockers or sewing machines. What do you want to use it for? Twin seams on jeans, hemming T shirts or sewing athleisure?

I always cut shirt fronts singly, as well as anything that requires pattern matching. I find it very hard to fold fabric evenly especially jersey, so one half may be off grain.
