Yes, clearly I was confused by 2 nice days. We've had hailstones here!

I enjoyed looking at the quilts very much, thank you @Sara-S

Some have a great level of detail and technical accuracy, which wows me, but others are much simpler and more things I feel I could do myself. I love that your group showed them all

When I drove to work this morning it was 4.5C and there was snow on the Pennines.  I was wearing my wool blend trousers. :)

Sew Ruthie Sews' entry #2 Fabric Box
Fabric Box without interfacing from https://jezzeblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/no-interfacing-storage-basket-tutorial.html
The resulting box is about 6 inches wide and 5 inches tall.
I made mine all from the same fabric (scraps from an old curtain), but it would lend itself to a contrast for the lining and could be a great scrap buster.

Thanks go to @indigotiger for the link.

It was 20c and sunny here on Saturday....ditto yesterday. Today it's 6.5c rain  and blowing a gale. No wonder we get confused  :faints:

There seems to be a little bit of a train at the back.  If this is the case, you need to elongate the circle on one side to get that effect (think more egg-shaped).  If you are doing the stripes,  I personally would do the stripes in individual pattern pieces, based on the base shape, but don't forget to include seam allowances.

To get the shape to hold, I would either do some netting to hold the shape out or use horse hair braid in the hem.
