Pattern was released May 5th. First a petty observation. The models are the two ladies who run the company. Some of their sample photos are frighteningly bad. Pants in linen showing horrible thigh wrinkles, hands thrust in pockets, over sized and poorly executed boxy tops obscuring much and my cardinal sin for promo photos, standing pigeon toed like some 5 year old.
None of this shows the garments in the best way. It creates a lot more work for us to sort out if a pattern is worthwhile. It always makes me question the professionalism of the designers.
Now. The pant you like. I really like pant waist bands done this way, elastic in back, flat in front. Us girls with bellies don't need gathering over them and blouses hang better in front. Use a wide sport elastic. They're soft, non curl and very comfortable. I've been using Stretch rite sport elastic for years. It even holds up for years of wear.
The diagonal seam is a great device for gals with either highly protruding bellies or backsides, especially if you have either but not both. If you're unbalanced in your side view it can be really hard to get a side seam to be properly vertical and in the right place so it looks good. A seam like this eliminates the problem.
I personally like slightly less of a taper on the leg. But their wide leg pant was really not flattering.
Price isn't bad. I'd give them a go.
