Magazine Freebie

I bought the Quilting Magazine yesterday, purely because it had numbered pins as a freebie on the cover.

I'm annoyed with myself really for giving in to such obvious marketing tactics. Especially so as the pins themselves feel rough and 'rusty'ish before they've even been used.

I've not even opened the mag yet. Hope it makes up for it.

So you can tell if you lose one between the floorboards??

Isn't it the joy of sewing to find a pin you've missed.. usually when you sit down  ><

The reason why is to easily mark numbered rows and columns when making a quilt. I often number them with bits of numbered paper pinned on.

I do hope you can use them then... what about a bit of wet and dry sandpaper to clean them up

I use bits of paper and pins. Talking of pins though, a friend bought me some as part of a present, they were rubbish. They were really rough and the points weren't sharp, they ended up in my sharps jar ready for the bin. I'm sad because friend had put thought into the present and then I couldn't use part of it.
