Leafing through the new Love Sewing and came across this shambles of a made up pattern. Wouldn't you think with all the money they charge for their patterns they could afford an iron?

Press the side seam(s).    Really is the standard to which clothes makers are to aspire?

Is this something made up for the magazine themselves or is it something made up by the vogue pattern makers themselves?  Do you have a link to the page where you saw it please? I can't quite work it out as it looks like its from a magazine article perhaps?

Vogue should really be embarrassed by that dress.

No, Vogue is the right culprit.  Their sample is shocking - look at the link I provided.

I agree that it looks as if it has been made by someone who doesn't know what an iron is for.

Thanks for the information @UttaRetch.

The fabric looks like a very thick, heavy sateen fabric (maybe even heavily bonded too). That would explain some of the issues with the finished item. I'm surprised to see it (like everyone else) tbh, from a Company like Vogue.

The pictures aren't that great either. Not up to their usual standard?

It's no wonder the model looks so cheesed off

Or if you like, this link shows the offending dress on the Vogue site.  It is definitely Vogue's sample.       :scream:
