Surely it's open to all as the only stipulation seems to be pink.

see page 1 for the rules.
The item can be patchwork, clothing or whatever as long as its sewn and mostly pink.

Giant pink flamingo anyone?

So anything goes this time, I was confused cos normally the patchworkers have their own competitions.

I did find some pink, but doubt I'll be entering, I'll wait for a garment competition.

I'm now confused by all the posts - is this a patchwork competition?  I thought it was dressmaking as it's not on the "darkside"?

It's sewing. Wonderful, blissful sewing. There are a few contests each year open to all sewing.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

If I enter mine will be a garment.

Although I do now really, really want to make a flamingo...
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Anything that requires a jelly roll (which is what that is) or 2 1/2" strips or cuts thereof ... Dont open it unless and until you are ready to sew it .. it will start to fray!

Jelly roll lone star

Summer in the Park

Jelly roll ribbon star

There plenty of tutorials out there ... All I would say is Please DONT make a jelly roll race ....

....and my first thought was to suggest doing a jelly roll race. They can be lovely and the sewing can be therapeutic. Perfect choice during these troubled times.

You're going to be waiting a while Bodge. All the comps are open to all looks like. I thought that's how it was anyway. Obviously patchwork trousers might be a bit of a stretch...  :S

Ah well, I'll not bother then.  Not that any likes my things anyway, so no loss.

I was under the impression that patchwork comps were a different thing though.

@Bodgeitandscarper  Would you please think again, our competitions are only any good if people enter ..... You make wonderous things ... Well at least they look so to me ...

But this particular competition's theme is PINK and that could be a Lampshade/Duvet cover/Curtains/Culottes/Dog coat (???) Baby Quilt/ Cushion cover ... Anything ... as long as the majority of it is PINK!

We don't actually have any competitions on the darkside. Just sewalongs and swaps.

@Bodgeitandscarper - I love your stuff too - it's totally different to anything I'd make but I love looking at what you've made - and it suits you so well. <3 I'll be making boring garment(s) for the Pink competition but they suit my boring life. :)

I am sure I have various bits of pink around but all my stuff is in its own lockdown until the plumbers have been and gone. We have had to clear space around every radiator. Putting it all back might be fun.

I've got a pink and grey dress almost finished.  It only needs the hem finishing and I'm waiting for some buttons.

Bits of the left-over pink/grey fabric have this evening been used for a tricky patchwork block - I'm trying to help Imi get the sizes right.
