Sorry @Renegade Sewist, I intended to make the thread sticky and locked it instead - didn’t have my reading glasses on

@Manuela something I manage to do daily. I broke another pair Thursday so the choices are dwindling.

Thanks for getting it fixed. As soon as I remember what I was going to post......
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

Oooh!  Are they real patches or a faux patchwork printed fabric?

I'm going to enter too. I cut my pieces out at the end of June, but then didn't feel the urge to make it up but I've started on it this morning so.......

@Celia I found this this morning and thought it was lovely. If you have enough contrast in your strip set it would make a nice small quilt.

@wrenkins
Thank you this does look cute but I don't want to buy anymore fabric at the moment and I have 1 metre of another plain cream I am thinking of putting with it, Jenny’s quilt uses a bit more than I have.  I saw this morning a quilt called Woven creams by Carolyn Foster not too sure if there is enough contrast though, what do you think.

That's quite a strong raspberry through that and it's hard to say without seeing your jelly roll what the contrast is like. Some of them are 50:50 lights and darks and some are quite homogeneous and need a lil bit of contrast to make the pattern show well. You could use your cream as your accent and make something soft and subtle of course...
If you do decide to open your roll whatever you do handle it like gold leaf! It will fray if you look at it hard! I'm working with strips at the moment and I'm considering plaiting them!!!  :S

Thank you @wrenkins  I know what you mean about fraying, I bought it a long time ago so it is a bit fluffy already, of course the other idea is to try to make a 9 patch like @Deafoldbat lovely quilt, would that be better I wonder

It’s a print @BrendaP, I have no time until the last university assignment is done to piece something like that. I found it at the Hawkers’ Bazaar and it was just pink enough for me to like it. Inspiration comes from this COS dress (the they don’t match the check on any of the seams).

Manuela’s entry

I’ve been hankering after this COS dress since I saw it, just longer and with the pattern matched up

I’ve had the fabric for about a year, don’t remember where I got it though. I bought it because it’s just about pink enough and initially wanted to make a shirt dress. Cutting the dress was quite the balancing act as I only had just under 2 yards. Hence a centre back seam (with zipper) that took about forever to sew.
The bright colours cheer me up endlessly, sadly there is not enough left to make a mask to go with it

The base pattern is Tessuti’s Bella dress, but I changed about everything except for the basic shape. It has big pocketses as well  ;)

I’m going to make a mug rug.
These are the fabrics I will choose from.
It’s going to be an ITH (in the hoop) design from Sweetpea Embroideries.

Oh how lovely @fajita

I am partway done on my entry which is a sewn cardigan. I have cut a simple tee shirt out of the scraps but not sewn that up yet.

@fajita they are beautiful, I love the wiggly quilting, was it done free-motion?  :flower:
Willing but not always able :)
