Lovely Bjay ... just The Churn Dash+ to make and you can be one of the first to snaffle one of Sheilago's scones ...

The wonderful thing about QAYG is that you only need squares an inch or so larger than your block for the backing as opposed to great swathes of yardage .... which means you could get the backing for a block out of a FQ.

We're up to 10 blocks now peeps ... just two more to go, but of course I might throw in a couple more so you will be able to choose your favourites for your quilt.

In addition having the extra blocks means you could go for a 16 blocks quilt (4 x 4) the 12 we originally aimed for (3 x 4) or even a diddy 9 block quilt (3 x 3)

If you're worried about backing fabric, Why not mix it up a bit ???

The first July one. This quilt is going to be like Dolly Parton's coat of many colours.  0_0

I've caught up with the latest two, and I think I might have found some fabric which would be OK for the backing, but no quilting done yet.

@Sandra That second one make me think of a set of children's wooden building blocks  :)

Here's my Jacob's Ladder. Haven't done the Czardas yet, I've been using up some practice blocks to make a cushion.

I think what's slightly odd about this block is that none of the same colours are adjacent, they all meet only at points.

I did my Hungarian thingy today and decided I hated it so I'm doing another one tomorrow. If I put an inch or so of background round it, it should be ok to go into the backing. I think.  >:)

Up to now I have just used yellow fabric without thinking about it too much. I realised I need to echo what has gone before in the next few Blocks.
So thinking about that churn one I decided to use the fabric with large spots - nope - only small scraps so I set out the blocks so far to see what I could use

To my surprise it's beginning to look like something and not just Blocks
