What a good idea to lay them out and see what's what! I may have to do the same

THAT is a very good idea ...

Lay your blocks out and see what there is too lil of, what you have overdone and make a note for this months / next few blocks.

Im aiming that you have more than 12 blocks, if you make each and everyone, so you can choose your favourites or upsize your quilt from 12 to 16 blocks... and there's nothing wrong with a wee 9 blocker!

Each block will be 12" add an inch or two for your joining strips/binding and you could be looking at an approximate  finished size of

  9 blocks  (3 x 3)  38" square ...
12 blocks  (3 x 4)   38" x 50"  ...
16 blocks  (4 x 4)   50" square ...

I laid mine out the other day to see what it was looking like and didn't know whether to show the pic or not...but now Bjay's shown you hers, I'll show you mine.

Not quite a subtle and tasteful as Bjay's, but I quite like it so far.

Sandra.

Those are taking shape beautifully. I need to do something like that because my fabrics have kind of veered off course I think.  :[

I only have six blocks and I'm not keen on two of them.   -< :(

2nd attempt at the churn dash. I like this better but like Wrenkins, my colour scheme has gone completely off course.  :|

Loving both those blocks and @Sandra  that is going to be stunning I would suggest dark blue strips ... and maybe revisiting the log cabin to extend it to a 12" finished ...

I was planning on using dark blue for the strips.  :)
I see what you mean about enlarging the log cabin. It's looking a bit on the small side already without having the strips added..  :[ not sure I'll be arsed to revisit it though.

@Sandra ... Its simple enough, remove the outside strips and add two more to each side ... Look I re-did mine ....
