I am hoping that someone with a 411G  can give me some advice please. I am about to start cleaning one and need to remove the selector knob. Everything online is about the 401 which has easily accessible screws so I’m guessing the screws are still there on the 411 but how do I access them? Does the front part of the knob pull off? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Lucky you! I have a 401g, I think they're very similar. I have a technical manual which I'll look out tomorrow, it might be some help.

Have you tried searching the site? There are some knowledgeable vintage folk on here who might be able to help. @LeilaMay

Thank you but the 411 selector knob is different cosmetically and there are no visible screws. I’m fairly certain that the outer cap comes off but before I start prising it off I wanted to be sure I was in the right track

Solved! It was under the cap and with a bit of gentle encouragement it popped off.
