Gave myself a choice

Was hunting for buttons for my button down dress (beautiful blue batik fabric I've had my eye on for a while) and found some quite delightful ones.

According to my pattern it said 1/2" to 5/8" (which I think is very small but hey ho) so on my button trawl I thought I'd get some of the bigger size. Then, of course, I found some blue ones I thought would match, and I found some lovely olive wood ones in the bigger size. Couldn't decide. Bought both 

Now it's all here I can't decide. The blue is smooth and shiny and does match well. But the wood ones are very pretty and would be a little more design feature than blend in. Though the blue may do that too as very shiny. I have no idea which to use. I'm flip flopping like a sad fish. I haven't cut anything out yet so no massive rush, but I do like knowing what I'm using before I start in case I have a genius idea.

If it were mine I'd choose wood, but the blue ones are lovely too.

Wood out of the two .. but maybe a mother of pearl would be nicer  ?

Neither! 

They are both nice but don't go with that fabric.  Get some in the light blue colour, and a bit bigger.  The only pattern alteration you will need to do is make the buttonholes a bit longer.

Of the two I prefer the wood as the blue buttons are a different shade of blue.
