Each month we have different sewalongs and competitions to make people do stuff they don't want to encourage people to maybe try new things or give them ideas for something a little different. Sometimes, like @BrendaP , it gives people a little nudge to hunt through stash and use up some nice pieces; all sorts of reasons.
The items are then entered in a competition and the winner gets a gorgeous 'WINNER' badge or patch and lots of glory and adulation.  :dance:
This month, as you can see, is in honour of youis tartans, plaids and checks so get your thinking cap on. It can be anything.  0_0

I've just realised that in addition to the blue I found for pencil skirt (stash using yay!) the fabric I ordered for my pinafore is a plaid/check! So that counts as well! Two entries

Plaid is plaid @Syrinx and it's only fair to let the darksiders play too.  0_0
Plaid quilting, plaid patchwork, check it out and let the voters decide. See what I did there?  :laughing:

@wrenkins

Would a scarf work? I'm not sure I have the time or the figure for pencil skirts or dresses. Although, for Halloween one year someone suggested I go as the Joker in the nurses uniform from Batman. My mates missus who was a nurse measured us and I'm reliably informed I'm a size 10. She still wont speak to me  :laughing:

Anyway, scarf be ok? How do you even make a scarf?!

Where am I?!

You can make as much or as little effort as you like. The voters decide.
Let me just say, it would need to be some scarf! We have some very talented peeps on here.  :)

The Rules say make a garment, so as you wear a scarf, shirley it's a garment?

I would say that a scarf is more of an accessory, but if @TartanPaint wants to make one start with a rectangular and then finish the edges.  The bonus is that there is no tricky pattern matching to worry about.

I've just looked over the photos I took of my stash. Sadly, no tartan or plaid. Nothing even close.

Hoots mon!

@UttaRetch

Would completely re-upholstering an armchair in grey plaid count?
