Welcome @dyedinthewool !  I'm also from Manchester (Whalley Range).  :thumbsup:
I'm Nikki and I am usually sewing happily on a Janome 9450QCP with a Janome 6260QC as a backup/sewing class machine. I also like to knit and crochet.

@dyedinthewool

Welcome from Scotland. Quite the range of talents you have there it seems.  :thumbsup:

I know what you mean about the virus. I was hoping to do some classes this year maybe bump into a few local folks up here who do sewing. Being male makes it a bit more awkward but the classes either vanished or the prices went up to a point where I wasn't prepared to pay them.

They're a nice bunch here. If they can make me welcome you'll be fine.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

I read a recommendation on Another Sewing Forum that this might be the better place to be for UK-based folks, especially with regards the fun sew-alongs. I'd joined in plenty of time to participate this year and them promptly forgot! I quite fancy having a go at the 6PAC winter challenge though.

And welcome from me too.

 What's nice about this group is that a lot of us emigrated from another group to set up this rebel breakaway party and we enjoy ourselves very much.  (Well I do, anyway) We do have a lot of extremely talented people in many textile fields, some lovely work appears and we are all grateful for their generosity in sharing with the ones of us who are less able!
