I just found these and thought they were amazing!

It's art because they are all different and all hand made. 0_0

I've been embroidering since I was a child, maybe eight or nine and I can't do French knots. I have followed every tute and instruction and nope!  :headbang:
I like the Monet stylee ones and the bee and the church...and some of the others....

I can remember a time when I used to get a fad for doing something after seeing it done really well.  Unfortunately embroidery was one of many things discarded because it was okay but not brilliant.
Stash extension 2024- 6.1 meters
Left at the end of 2023 - 66 meters now (includes fabric found hidden out of sight)  Lining fabric not included

Those are beautiful. My mum used to do similar stuff and I have a couple of them.

The things that defeat us... I love French knots. Did a project once that involved hundreds, if not thousands of the things. Nice texture.

BUT! In fifty years of sewing, I have yet to put in a zipper that I am not ashamed of.
It's just fabric. We can out-think it.

The Monet #9 is the best of all.....more attractive colours...the rest are too vibrant for me....as for whether art or embroidery....for me it is both!

Whatever they are, they are amazing. Not my cup of tea really but very very skilled - those french knots are incredible!
