See them here.

Miss opportunity with this

which I don't think works on any level.

Not impressed, for me. I think sometimes they change the line drawings of old ones and just renumber.

Vogue is generally the only big 4 I buy but is the McCall collection usually so small?  Only 9 new patterns?  Nothing here for me and 8144 is especially awful.  All those wrinkles.

I noted the smallness of this release but really, there is nothing new in clothing.

I was underwhelmed by this McCalls release AND the last very ruffly one.

I really thought pattern 8156 was a dress when I first glanced at it.   Not sure of it as a coat.

Still waiting for the Butterick fall release with fingers crossed for something enticing.

@eluceo: isn't it awful - is aubergene on trend?  I really don't see view C as a coat at all.

If that's a coat the model can't be wearing much underneath it!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

A comment that someone on Pattern review made.

Great minds think alike (I can't think when I was last on Pattern Review) - or maybe it's just a pretty obvious point!

That reminds me very much of a purple velvet coat I bought on Carnaby Street in the late 1960's, the skirt wasn't quite so full as that one and it fastened with loops and buttons.

Yes, thanks, I knew it looked familiar, 60s of course.
Mini skirts and long full skirted coats.

It looks 1950s to me - but still not sure whether it's meant to be a coat or a dress.  :S

I like M8144 for possibilities, it could easily turned into a knit dress. It’s really the neckline and the sleeve options that draw me to it.
Everything else leaves me cold and they seem to have forgotten who their customers are.
