Hi From Illinois, USA
« on: May 16, 2017, 21:04:32 PM »
Hi! I heard about this forum on Pattern Review. I'm also a member of Stitcher's Guild, Quilting Board, and Victorian Sweatshop. I started sewing when I was about 12.... that would be about 55 years ago!

Anyway, I love sewing....and vintage machines. And, I'm really enjoying reading all the posts here.

Hi path49 - seems like there must be some significance in that name but can't make it out.   -<

I'm on PR & SG too (mostly the latter, not sure why) but I don't recall your name. Hopefully we'll bump into each other more often now.   :)
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.

Hello there path49!  Look forward to seeing some of your projects - and your vintage machines!

Jessie
Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Hi Marniesews....No significance to the name. Just 1st name, last initial, and year I was born. But, it does sound kinda mysterious, huh?

I really don't post that often so I'm not surprised that you don't recognize the name.

Hi Catlarr, Right now I'm making a bed skirt and cutting down a double bed comforter to twin size.....for a friend. Then hopefully, I'll have time to make some summer nightgowns for me. And I need to make something to cover up the damage Chloe (my cat) has done to the couch. I don't want to make slipcovers or reupholster....the couch is getting too old to spend too much time/money on.
