We get very many new members asking for sewing machine recommendations.

Everybody has their favourite brands and models and I was thinking if we all clicked on the brand we had it would form a quick and instant poll of the most popular brands amongst TSP members.

SO click on the brand of your machines in the poll above ...... maybe I can fashion another poll for individual models but there are so many of them it would be a very long list

If your machines brand is not showing, let me know and Ill add it to the list.

Please note this is for Domestic SEWING machines only .... Not embroidery or dedicated overlockers Although I could look into a poll for that

@Iminei  Can't do that because there's no poll there!
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

It won't let me click "thrice" or even "twice"! I clicked once but now I can only see the results. :S :o

Sorry @Iminei  I didn't read properly first and clicked, I've got two Pfaffs (only one down), and I forgot my Husvarna.

Nothing working on a Sunday (brain) it shuts down and rests. :S

I have an old Singer and an ancient one so I've voted for old. If I could unvote my current model I would. I'll put up with it but given the choice, and hanging around with you peeps, I wouldn't buy it again. (don't tell it. I feel treacherous  :(

I could only vote once as well, I have six machines, all domestic, four of which are my favourite brand which I would recommend every time.

@Iminei Are you able to add an option for Bernina (old) without it affecting any votes already made? The mechanical vintage Berninas are popular but quite different to today’s modern computerised models.

I was thinking the same thing. I have an older mechanical Bernina rather than th brandy new all bells and whistles variety.

I have four old Singers and one oldish Husqvarna, but I think I was only able to vote old Singer once.
