Advice on finding a dressmaker

Hello All

Is there was something like 'check a trade' or a trade association that can check / accredit dressmakers? Or what advice do you have on finding someone reputable? What directories are good? It is to have a wedding dress made. I have the toile and pattern and need someone to make the dress for me in the final fabric.
