I really want to enter this one  0_0

I have a funky patterned duvet cover which will look fab as a particular pair of trousers and a top/tunic of some kind to make a suit.

Will have a good look in the hut tomorrow  :)

If I don't see a Wonder Woman outfit I'll be gutted. Who was it knit the hat?  :loveit:

@Lowena how about using some old clothes/shirts/even mens ties to make a small memory quilt?  :)
Willing but not always able :)

I bought a large men's linen shirt for £7 in the last M&S sale, but other than taking the sleeves off and re-making it so that it fits me (which doesn't qualify, and would also be very boring) I have no ideas whatsoever.   -<
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I started doodling around with the pattern for my white skirt to see how to do the alterations. I want at least 8, probably 10 inches off the bottom really. I put a bunch of rough tucks in the pieces. Will pin them in place soon and try some sort of tissue fit, eliminating the point in the process. I tucked along grainlines. Someone let me know if this could/should be done differently!

I can only do patchwork... and  :| we don't have old clothes.... That's my problem.

Instead of throwing the old clothes away, or to a charity shop, hang on to them!  Chop tehm up and make a patchwork cushion.

BTW, men's shirts can be pretty good for P&Q
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

Of course I won’t!!! I do contests on that big US sewing site sometimes. It’s the same thing isn’t it? Fiddling about with the pattern beforehand is fine? If not let me know and I’ll press the pattern flat again

Well there will be other things in your house made of fabric... Curtains, tablecloths, napkins, shopping bags, shower curtains, aprons, tea towels. Try looking in every cupboard for new fabric  :)
