Keep it together bag

As requested, here are pics of my latest bag project. It is called the ‘keep it together’ bag.
It has been a real skill builder:

It is the first time I have used binding on anything other than a quilt. I’m not particularly happy with the bag binding but each set of pockets has got better.

So here is the bag - a zip pocket on the front, slip pocket on the bag, kam snap handle keeper   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Here are the sections for the inside.

Firstly mesh pouches that Velcro on the inside - designed to keep your project in (first time using mesh).

Next, a ‘folder’ that Velcro’s into the middle. It has zippered mesh pockets, zippered PVC pockets (first time using PVC), a couple of slip pockets and a larger kam snap pocket. I have made one ‘folder’ as photographed but have one more left to finish. These live in the middle of the bag

That is amazing - and lovely!   :D  I do love a bag with compartments!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Thanks everyone. @Sewingsue it isn’t as complicated as it looks. I wasn’t sure at first but there have been some sew along sessions and everything is broken down into sections so you only have to cut out for and make one section at a time. The actual bag shell was the hardest bit.

I’m planning to use it to store EPP projects in as well as a store of spare (but obviously matching haha) tools - scissors, rotary cutter, pins etc. This will be useful when (!] things get back to normal and I can visit my mum for a sewing wkend again and for classes

Gosh, you've put a lot of work into that.  Well done.
What is the pattern you have used @RJR_38  ?
Life's too short for ironing.

That's lovely. Pleased you made it now and not next month, I may enter the comp but wouldn't stand a chance against you  ;)

@Ploshkin the pattern is from Becky Alexander Frost and is one of the patterns for her subscription members called ‘keep it together’ bag.

@snoozi soozi that is lovely of you to say but I have seen some of the fantastic sewing you have done previously. Saying that, I am going to have a really good think about next month as I had planned to make a couple of quilts next but may need to make another bag in November!

Lovely bag @RJR_38  - I bet that was a satisfying make what with zips, mesh, pvc, snaps, binding...and you'll have the perfect use for it .
