Some time ago someone (possibly @Stitches)? Posted photos of ITH declarations. They were so lovely I bookmarked them. Or so l thought. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Try this

The thing with In the Hoop designs is remembering the order of things such as when you attach the ribbon, backing etc

Good luck I look forward to seeing pics of your makes

Thanks @Iminei. I found those gingerbread designs on emblibrary earlier but in my memory the ones posted on here were different. I'll give the rocking horse a try I think. I'm too tight to buy the whole pack at $20 but individually they're about $3 I think.

Can you explain more about how ITH works?  I am new to machine embroidery.
You can't scare me. I taught high school for 32 years.

I don't know yet @Sara-S  0_0 I will follow the instructions! I made gingerbread men from Urban Threads a few years ago, the machine embroiders the top layer then a backing layer is tacked on to the back and a second file runs to attach the two. I think there are quite complex patterns available involving multiple applique pieces but I'm hoping these are simply 2 pieces.

There are lots of different ITH designs @Sara-S for all sorts of different things. They include decorations, purses, bags, placemats and even soft toys!   They all have slightly different methods but the general idea is that it is mainly sewn in the hoop rather than in a sewing machine.....even putting in zips if needed!

If you look at the details of any of the decorations on the Embroidery Library site there will be a link to the project instructions (which you can see without buying anything).

This is the link to the project instructions for one of the gingerbread house decorations.  They vary greatly in how complicated they are!!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.
