Hi newbie here from Blackpool
« on: November 08, 2020, 10:36:44 AM »
Hi there I am Steve aged 49 and live in Blackpool.  I am new to sewing and have just bought my first second-hand Overlocker and been gifted a second-hand sewing machine.

Took me a few days to understand how to tread an overlocker, but all sorted now and ready to sew!

I am starting out by making cushion covers from old shirts of mine and found in charity shops to gift as Christmas Presents to friends and hopefully sell some too.

This is the start of my journey into sewing  :vintage: and hopefully will still be doing this in years to come!

Welcome Steve, theres tonnes of information packed away here, just take a vat of your favourite tipple and have a wander around.

Why stop at cushion covers from shirts????

Hello, good morning, and welcome.

I lived in Blackpool for a couple of years (until we moved to the opposite side of the country 4 years ago), and my Other Half lived there practically all his life.

By the way, we love to see pics of things you've made  0_0

Welcome @stevedb.  There will be bumps and scrapes along the road, not to mention outright crash and burns.  The fire of my last burn is now extinguished.
