I have been working on this for several weeks because of my painful hips I cannot sit for long to sew and now my machine is in for a service. The fabric is a very dark navy viscose Jersey with pink tulips on it and a few slim green leaves. All I have got to do is sew the side seams, put the sleeves in and finish the hem. I have added a cowl like collar from another pattern. I'll post a photo when I can.

Oh @Silver Rose I've just done the similar old Palmer Pleitch one (looks old fashioned looking on the picture) and it has turned out simply fabulous.  I'm dying to wear it, although I boobed and when for short sleeves, long would have been better and I had the fabric for them

Thank you @snoozi soozi , as soon as I saw it on the Croft Mill website I had to have it ;) I have also got a lovely bright blue, green and turquoise viscose jersey from them too to make a similar dress sometime.

M6886 is such a useful pattern, very versatile. I like the addition of the cowl neck. With the long sleeves as well, it will be a good autumn/winter dress. Pretty fabric too!

Striking fabric and a favourite pattern too. I made several with a roll top (smaller than your cowl)  - all  since shortened from dresses to tops - wish I was a dress person. I look forward to seeing yours finished, maybe with you in it  :).

@Vezelay I remember you like this pattern too, I recently altered a dress  to a top from M6886, it was s tad too short for me. I also added cuffs to the sleeves for a change if style.

I managed to sew the side seams today, I sat on my walker seat which is higher than the dining chair I usually sit on when I am sewing. So tomorrow I can tack the sleeves in ready for the next burst of sewing activity. The foot pedal didn't move away from me as it often does so that made the job easier.

@Silver Rose to stop your foot pedal moving away from you put a couple of strips of the stick on hook tape on the bottom of the foot, works if you have carpet. If you have hard floors use a piece of the non slip fabric you can get for shelves or rug under the foot.
It's not easy being this perfekt

That fabric is very lovely. The cowl neck is a nice detail. Also, it looks really nice and cozy. I hope you'll be able to share a picture when it is finished!
