Looks great. As I suspected, that fabric is well-suited to that type of hat.

What a great hat. I think I'll put it on my to do list. I've got some old needlecord trousers that I could cut up.

Oh, do @coffeeandcake - needlecord would be perfect. I had to cut my tweed across the grain and I added woven interfacing as the fabric was light, so it's quite an adaptable pattern. Also the interior band holds a small piece of elastic at the back to hold it lightly but firmly on the head so fit isn't an issue. Looking forward to seeing yours!
