Some right bodges there - and I did chuckle at the "bias" binding that wasn't cut on the bias...

And the 'felled seam' which was actually a double hem turned up with double sided sticky tape!  Not only was it wonky, the sticky would soon gum up the needle.

I love watching other people machining  - I had to teach myself as my mother wouldn't let me near her hand Singer. Silly really, as two heads would have been better than one - she was always getting in a mess.
Someone I knew gave me one when his mother in law died. He came back a few weeks later and asked for it back - they had changed their minds, and wanted to give it to charity. Luckily I hadn't taken it out of the box.

I know we were all beginners once (and I still am in some respects!), but making videos and putting it on t'interweb as though it's correct really doesn't help other people.

Yes  liked some of them too. Obviously, given more time and attention, improvements could be made but it's the idea that counts in this case and some were better than others. After watching this I actually used one of them. I had a lot of unpicking to do and I used an eraser to get rid of the "unpickings" - worked brilliantly!

My very favourite Quick unpick basically has an eraser rubbers on both ends ... clever!

I know we were all beginners once…

I will forever be a beginner. There's always new things to learn, techniques to improve, a different type of sewing to try. When the wind blows from the right direction, I hear quilting calling…

@Lowena I did type "rubber" to begin with, but then anticipated misunderstandings from our US contingent - so I changed it for clarity's sake.
