Im sure PJ bots are not very hard ... its not like they have to fit particularly well ...

Its more the amount of fabric you have to use for clothing and the different types etc ... Its a whole new world.

It is quite easy to make PJ bottoms, it's just like the scrubs trousers we were all making earlier in the year.  Just a different fabric and elastic in the waste   :)
Willing but not always able :)

I'm sure I'm right in saying that @Iminei has an offer of a masterclass on pj botts from @Puzzler  . It's finding the right fabric that's the sticking point. I spotted some online that I thought would be perfect and asked for a sample but they never got back to me  ><

Easier than scrubs trousers - they don't need pockets.
Five seams (sometimes only three) two hems and a waist casing.  That's all.

If you want straightforward pj bottoms, no pockets, elastic waist, have a shufty on YouTube, there's no shortage of tut's. This is how I made my first few pairs but then I started using a pattern for dropped crotch trousers as I love them.

Just thought I'd show you the finished items.  :)

I added the mock drawstring so you could tell the front from the back.

 :loveit:

Actually one of my most favourite Christmas presents of all time ever wasnt the Haunted House board game I nagged my parents to buy from just after my birthday when all the christmas adverts began but a dark red Snoopy nightie ...
It was a proper mid thigh length one with Snoopy sat at a school desk with his feet up at 9am (by the clock above him) and a thought bubble saying Mmmmmn Only 8 hours til bedtime ....

I loved that nightie so much and it was in tatters when it finally went to nightie heaven.

@Bjay , Puzzler has linked to a free pattern for PJ bottoms (three posts?) above.  I'm going to make some in September for the First Things First competition.

How about a TSP pyjama bottoms sew along?  I’d definitely join up.

I like the idea of sew alongs more than competitions.
