I did see one on FB marketplace - A 'Queen Victoria' Singer Treadle for £6000............
I have learnt by my mistakes: Sewing machines now are Bernina 720, Bernina 1008, Bernina 801 from 1981, Brother overlocker, ancient but works well

My mum had one of those, didn't realise they'd be so valuable

It's newer than my grandmother's 1897 one, so I'll pass.

Looks like an early 99K1/2 model (small ¾" tension discs) to me. Only parts that are getting hard to find is the check spring, there is no 3rd party making these springs either as of yet and don't expect them to be either as just not enough of a market for these early 99's left out there. I own/use one and personally wouldn't pass another one up

ps: not at that price though

I'm not sure about that handle.  I wonder how much they'd knock off it because of that? ><
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

@BrendaP well spotted! They don't know how to lock it into position for use. Definitely need to knock off £9, 900 for that. Though it does look to be in good condition.
